WHAT WE DO
The Fannin County Empty Stocking Program, Inc. was founded in 1996. The organization is a volunteer board of directors that assists the children of Fannin County year-round and especially at Christmas.
This process is a year-long endeavor which begins by overseeing all fundraising, operation our own thrift store, the application process for families in need, shopping for the children's requests, and the distribution of these items to the children/families before Christmas.

WHO WE ARE
The Fannin County Empty Stocking Program, Inc. provides Christmas to the underprivileged children of Fannin County. We provide a winter coat, two outfits of clothing, a package of socks, a pair of shoes, a package of underwear and at least three toys/wish list items to every child. Since 2014 we have provided Christmas to 2,394 Fannin County children, spending approximately $268,561.61.
We also award scholarships to Fannin County High School seniors each year. Since 2014, we have awarded $12,000 in scholarships to graduating seniors. Throughout the year we assist other needs of Fannin County children including providing Wishes Come True Grants to Fannin County schools, assisting in case of house fires, medical expenses, and other unforeseen tragedies.
The Fannin County Empty Stocking Program, Inc. has been working hard all year at our thrift store preparing to help those less fortunate this Christmas. This process begins with our annual Application Process. This process is the time for those families seeking assistance this Christmas to apply. Our annual Application Process will be at the United Community Bank Community Room (in Blue Ridge, next to Burger King) and begins on Monday, October 21, 2019 and concludes on Saturday, October 26, 2019.
The schedule for the Application Process will be as follows:
Monday, October 21, 2019 - 5:00PM to 7:00PM
Tuesday, October 22, 2019 - 5:00PM to 7:00PM
Wednesday, October 23, 2019 - 5:00PM to 7:00PM
Thursday, October 24, 2019 - 5:00PM to 7:00PM
Friday, October 25, 2019 - 5:00PM to 7:00PM
Saturday, October 26, 2019 - 9:00AM to 12:00PM
Applicants must apply in person and bring the documentation listed below. All documentation must be present for your application to be completed.
-Proof of ALL household income (adults and children), (paycheck stubs, SSI statement, bank statement, etc.)
-Parent/guardian driver's license or picture ID
-Proof of physical residence in Fannin County (copy of utility bill, lease agreement, etc.)
-Social security card or birth certificate for each child
-Name of the school each child attends (if applicable)
-EBT card (if applicable)
-Proof of custody paperwork (if you have temporary guardianship of non-biological children)
All information provided to The Fannin County Empty Stocking Program, Inc. is confidential; however, we reserve the right to share applicants' names with non-profit organizations, schools, or churches to limit applicants receiving assistance from multiple resources.
